Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana Rajasthan in English
Under the Mid Day Meal Scheme, milk prepared from powdered milk will be provided twice a week to the students of classes 1 to 8 of all the government schools, madrassas, and special training centers of the district. This scheme was started from 29 November 2022 in the budget for the financial year 2022-23.
Objective of Balagopal Milk Scheme
Objective of Balgopal Milk Scheme:- The main objective of starting ‘Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana’ under Mid Day Meal Scheme is to increase the enrollment of students studying in schools, increase in attendance, prevent drop-outs and increase in nutritional level and necessary macro and micro. Nutrients have to be made available.
Balagopal Milk Scheme
- Under this scheme, purchase and supply of powdered milk is to be done by Rajasthan Co-operative Dairy Cadreation Limited (RCDF).
- 101800 kg powdered milk has been allocated in the district by the Mid Day Meal Commissionerate.
- Rajasthan Co-operator Dairy Federation Limited (RCDF) will do door step delivery of powdered milk to schools as per the allocation.
- In every school, immediately after the prayer meeting, milk was provided to the students on two days scheduled as follows – (1) Tuesday (2) Friday
- In case the said day was a holiday, milk was made available on the next academic day.
Under Bal Gopal Yojana, now milk is provided in the school only for six days of the week i.e. from Monday to Saturday –

Block Level:- The concerned Chief Block Education Officer will be responsible at the block level for the effective and systematic implementation of the Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana.
For the mid-day meal scheme at the block level, a block level review and steering committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the subdivision officer of the concerned block. Whose meeting is organized every month.
The said committee itself. Chief Minister Bal Gopal will review the implementation of the scheme and ensure implementation as per the instructions of the scheme.
Gram Panchayat level :- The Panchayat Elementary Education Officer (PEEO) concerned at the village level will be in-charge and responsible for the systematic implementation of ‘Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana’.
School Level: – The School Management Committee will be responsible for the effective and systematic implementation of ‘Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana’ at the school level.
The school management committee will ensure that milk is available to the students on the prescribed days. Will ensure proper arrangement of milk and utensils as per the enrollment of the students.
Milk arrangements will be made by SMC in schools related to centralized kitchens and Annapurna Mahila Cooperative Society.
All the accounts (records) related to the Chief Minister Bal Gopal Scheme will be maintained by the School Management Committee and will ensure implementation as per the instructions of the scheme.

Storage of milk powder – After receiving the bags of milk powder, store them on a wooden plank in a clean, dry, safe place where no insects, rodents, rats, ants, cockroaches, lizards, etc. can enter. Store and also inspect milk powder bags/packets from time to time.
Use the milk powder bag/packet received first and use it within 12 months from the date of manufacture.
During the rainy season, cover the bag/packet of milk powder with a plastic sheet.

Precautions :-
- Milk should be distributed only after boiling.
- The utensils required for preparing and distributing milk should be washed and completely clean.
- The milk should be used after filtering it.
- Clean water should be used.
- Powdered milk should not be given to students for consumption.
- The place where milk is prepared and heated should be kept clean.
